    Installation Tips and Tricks

    Breezeway Paths

Create a serviceable, safe, and aesthetically pleasing barn floor pathway for your horses with interlocking pavers. These give your flooring texture and draw the eye through the barn, while the dog-bone shape allows you to lay your barn flooring out in a variety of designs.

    Wash Pads

Farms are a dusty business, and it always settles on your horse. Designate a convenient wash pad area with a concrete base to prevent puddling, so you can clean your horse whenever. Make sure to add one of our wash pads to allow water to flow through, while keeping your horse’s hooves protected.

    Birthing Stalls

Create a safe and warm space for birthing mares with our straight-edge barn rubber flooring mats. These provide a soft, sanitary place for both mom and the foal, can be easily put into a stall to designate it as a birthing space, and taken out of the stall to clean.

    FAQs

How do I install rolled aisle flooring?

All the rubber flooring from Therubberman.com is easy to install, but rolled aisle flooring is especially easy. You can cut the length to size from the 150-foot roll it comes in with a utility knife. This flooring requires no adhesive.

Roll it out within the space, and because it won’t curl or creep, it will stay.

If you’re installing large swaths of livestock rubber flooring, check out our installation guide for more tips.

What other ways beyond stock trailer mats and aisle runners can I use rolled flooring?

Rubber mats have ample uses throughout a farm operation. The rolled flooring is a great option for walkways between buildings and round pen tracks. Farms are subject to the elements, and while your horses’ instinct will help protect them a lot, there are still things that can harm them.

Livestock walkways protect hooves from roots, rocks, glass, and other debris like nails.

Putting rolled aisle flooring down as round-pen tracks gives riders a safe place to walk around and helps cut down on dust and dirt flying around.

Check out the list of common uses above for more ideas.

What is the best way to clean stock trailer mats and aisle flooring?

One benefit of livestock rubber flooring is its easy maintenance. They are easy to sweep off for daily maintenance, and when outdoors, a leaf blower works exceptionally well. For a deeper clean, you can pressure-wash the mats.

If you have rubber mats indoors, such as the barn breezeway, we recommend steam cleaning them every few months. You can rent a commercial-grade steam cleaner for the project.

Do you offer other products that work well in an aisle or as stock trailer mats?

Yes! For smaller trailers, we offer mats that work well on the ramp, as well as wall liners. Then, if you’re looking for a more elevated look in your aisles and breezeways, check out our rubber pavers, available in a variety of colors.
