100% RECYCLED PRODUCTS
All of TheRubberMan’s product inventory is made from 100% recycled materials, such as scrap car and truck tires. By using recycled products, we can engage in environmentally friendly practices that conserve energy, reduce pollution, and promote better use of scrap materials.
These tires are already vulcanized but can lose their bonds over time. As part of our vulcanized rubber process, they will undergo the treatment again to remain durable, strong, and flexible as they become floor pieces, rubber mats, and more.
VULCANIZATION PROCESS
Once the recycled products have been cleaned, the actual vulcanization process begins. Our vulcanized and double-vulcanized rubber sheets are cured and reinforced from tire manufacturing products. They can be used in barns, heavy trucks and horse trailers, gyms, and more.
This process makes our rubber durable enough to last and elastic enough to support foot traffic over long periods of time.
MOLDED RUBBER
To create our molded rubber pieces, TheRubberMan uses a rubber molding metal cavity. The vulcanized rubber pieces are pressed into the cavity, exposed to heat, and formed as needed. Three common methods used for this step are injection molding, compression molding, and transfer molding.
ROTOCURING
Some products undergo rotocuring, the same process used when creating conveyor belts, rubber sheets, and rubberized fabric from vulcanized and cured pieces. Vulcanized rubber floors get similar benefits in heat and wear resistance from this process.
WATERJET CUTTING
One of the benefits of working with TheRubberMan is ensuring you’ll have a variety of sizes and shapes available for your project. Waterjet cutting allows for precise and intricate cuts. This part of the process also means we can produce complex shapes, like those in our interlocking pieces.
